Things have changed when I got married… but in a
good-matured-kind-of-way–change. When I was still single, I get excited on
buying girl stuff like skirts, dresses, tops, blouses, pants and shoes. Going
to the mall would mean eyeing on the latest fashion trends and seriously saving
moolah just to purchase it. I still do that these days but I reckon my
interests have evolved. At this point of my life, I get more excited whenever I
see home furniture, organizers, bed covers and magazines about good
housekeeping and the like.
Late this afternoon, I found myself thinking on some stuff
that I want to buy for our house. Last summer, my husband gave me the freedom
to decorate and organize but I was busy with other things that I totally forgot
about it. Aside from that, money is quite limited so I cannot purchase all in a
jiffy.
My bucket lists are as follows:
Bed frame—Last summer, when Manduae foam was on sale, we
bought a new King size mattress and a white bordered full length mirror. But we
need to get a new bed frame because our mattress right now is way too big for
our old bed frame.
Bed side table--- I kept asking papa on that spare bed
side-table in the house but he told me to ask permission first to my sister
since it’s hers. I did… but I haven’t updated my papa about it again. I need a
bed side table since I like to read before going to sleep. Most of the times, I
just toss the reading materials on the floor.
Stuffs like my ipad, iphone and headset are all over the floor because I
am too lazy and sleepy to get up and place it on the bigger table inside our bedroom.
Thus is the need for a small bed-side table! I also want my rosary, bible and prayer
booklet to be within arm’s reach…as well as my water container.
Bedsheets—ohhh! How I love to have plenty of sheets in
different pastel colors. Loud colors will do too! And pillowcases too! I want
to change bed covers and pillowcases once a week. I wish bed sheets are not
that pricey and if someone will give me a present, I would really say “get me a
bed sheet or a set of pillowcases and I’ll be so happyyyyy”.
Curtains- how badly we are in need of curtains. We used to
have few windows in the starter pad/apartment which we rented after we got
married. But now, we have 3 big windows in the living room and 2 windows in our
bedroom and another large window in the spare room. I am thinking of going
cheap and prolly buy in cogon. We got our draperies at SM and it’s really
expensive.
Center table- I already returned the borrowed center-table
back in my parents’ house because I really want to have our own. Whenever we
drop by at Mandaue Foam, I always check on their center tables. I want to have
one so that I can put decors on top of it.

Organizers—I am crazy on having lots of it. I want big,
plastic organizers so that I can de clutter all the mess. I also want to have a
shoe rack. We actually have the black plastic shoe organizer but it’s for the
shoes that we often wear. I want to have a new one for our footwear that we don’t
get to use every day.
Albums—we need to print the remaining wedding photos and I
need more albums for it.
White wall picture frames—I have been itching to have one
before but again, it was long forgotten when other priorities set in.
Potholders/apron and throw pillow covers--- I just want to have
more!
Book shelf—I love reading. It’s my past time and a way for
me to de-stress. Although I have plenty of eBooks in my ipad, I still want to
have the “real-feel”. I love books in paper print and I want to collect and
collect.
I guess that’s all for now. I hope I can buy all the stuff
in my bucket list. good night! so sleepy already :)
