My 29th! :-)

I decided to blog instead of sulking here in the lib for having such a very slow internet connection, gahh! I haven’t blogged for quite sometime and have not updated on the “what ups” of my life.

Anyhoo, I am already 29! Oh, how time rolls by. On my birthday, I did not plan anything grand and besides I am not used to having birthday parties. So, I went to school, dropped by the chapel and prayed. I had my morning class and then went home for lunch. I took a catnap in the afternoon then after dozing off for an hour or two, I was awaken by my husband who was standing at the threshold with a box of cake on one hand and a bottle of drink on the other. He always managed to pull off a surprise again! I mean, we just plan to have dinner outside, nothing fancy—just the two of us in some random resto in the city. But he went home early from work to purchase those goodies and bring it home to surprise me.

We then had a dinner date at Itallinis- one of the newest restos in the city that offers delightfully tasty dishes/food. But prior to my birthday, my hubby took me to a shopping spree. I got a classic denim dress from Folded and Hung and a pair of shoes from Reef. I don’t really buy clothes that much because I am comfortable with what I have in my closet. I only buy when I’m really, really digging for it or if I have enough moolah to spent away. So, it’s quite a luxury if my hubby will treat me to some shopping galore. I guess I also need that.. after all the challenges and temporary setbacks that beset us early on in our marriage; the miscarriage, the moving in and out and car scratches and car accidents. Through it all, we were able to surpass it and now we welcome more happy surprises from the Guy up above.
Anyway, before our dinner date, my hubby took me to a “watch boutique” (whatever way to call it) and there we checked on the latest wrist watches of Fossil. I am a Fossil girl and I dig on their styles but the watches they had there did not pique my interest at all. Then I moved across and got attracted with the simple, rounded silver wristwatch from Kenneth Cole. It was sitting prettily in that mirrored glass. For me, it screams of class and simplicity. Ahh, I fell in love with it and the next thing I knew, my hubby asked the saleslady to fish it out and have it tried on my wrist.  Then… the rest was history. Hahaha!!

Actually, I have been itching to get a new watch since my jurrasic Fossil retired already. I had it since 2nd year college and it served thy master well. It can still be fixed though…but I MISPLACED IT!!!because we  kept on moving  in and out from one place to the other.  I did not expect that my hubby will buy me one on my birthday since we have been saving moolah for rainy days..and yes, to pay bills.

BUT… My hubby swept me off my feet again. He took me by surprise!
Thank you Hunny Bee for loving me and for making me the happiest girl on my birthday.

My 29th is super special because I spent it with the man I chose to love forever.
The material stuffs are just bonuses... what is more important is the gift of LOVE we have for each other..until forever. :-)
