I am 28 years old and I will be getting married
few weeks from now. Sitting on my bed
here in my sweet Bukidnon home suddenly made me wish I can stay longer here and
be with my parents. Part of me still longs for parental affection and attention
although I know by heart that my parents are always there for me. It’s just
that when I get married, everything will not be the way it is. Like, I will be
moving out from our house and moving in with Bee; like instead of my Aunt
cooking sumptuous meal during weekends, I will be in our new kitchen cooking
for our lunch and dinner—those will be some of the changes that will take place
once I get married. But in some ways, I am quite excited of what lies ahead. It
will be a new chapter of my life and I know Bee and I have still so much to
learn.
But of course, I will still continue with my
doctoral degree. It’s something that I have already started and it’s some thing
I really wanted to finish. This semester will be a busy one for me especially
with our wedding coming up but I still insist that I should enrol with at least
6 units. I know it’s going to be hard but hey, I am also a tough cookie like
that. So bring it on! I will always find time to squeeze in some paper works
and other grad stuff.
Tomorrow, I will be in the city to get my
grades. I am crossing my fingers that I will pass with all my subjects. J
