Someone I know in Bangkok sent me an email months ago and said she’s opening a new international school and invited me in for an interview with the principal but I gratefully replied to her that I am back in my home country and that I would love to be a part in her school if only…. Chuva chuva and a list of reasons why I have to stay back home.
I am doing perfectly well in my thesis topic and recently I had a good rapport with someone who writes books about men teaching in ECE. :)
And yes, I am eggcited!!! to work this June. I had my demo last Monday and I got the job and I will be teaching kids again. Oh, I love being a pre-school teacher! I like my every day interactions with kids and how curious they can get. Sometimes I asked myself why I am in a teaching field and then I suddenly realized that I am a nurturing person. And kids need a lot of nurturing and only passionate teachers can give that. So, maybe it is passion that pushed me through to become a pre-school teacher. And really, I thank God for that.
I am happy for the gift of friends. I have friends back in Bangkok who still manage to keep in touch. Thanks to Facebook! My friend and partner Gerah keeps me updated with her life and last December she finally got the chance to be with her family for Christmas. Adam still sends messages and I am happy for him and his Thai girlfriend—they might be tying the knot soon! Wow! And of course my Pinoy and Thai friends are always there to brighten up my day in FACEBOOK! Hehehe!
But today, I want to single out Adam because he was one of those few people who helped me get through life especially when I was so down and low in spirits.
Adam is one of the good friends I had in the school I worked for a year and a half. Whenever I need to share up my pent up emotions, he was there to listen, to give some few tips on how to stay positive in life and we also shared the same passion for books. He would lend me some books and then always had that cheerful smile whenever we bump into each other during lunches at cafeteria and meetings in the library. He was there to comfort me whenever I ranted and raved about my failed relationship. I guess, he was one of my closest guy friends in Bangkok before and I am thankful that I have a friend like Adam.
some of our messages with each other... :)

I agree with June, what a pretty photo of you. How have you been, what are you doing these last several months? Will you come back to Thailand anytime soon? Are you in school? Have you read any good books lately?
I definitely need to travel and see the Philippines and when I do would hope to see you and my other friends who live there.
Take care and keep in touch.

Sawadee Be Mai to you too. It's great hearing from you. I am happy you are continuing with your education. Actually. I may know a few good guys who would love to meet a wonderful girl like you.
Have you read any Deepok Chopra? I just recently read his "Seven Spiritual Habits of Success". I highly recommend it. I also just read my first book by Truman Capote. He writes very well and very interesting. Let me know when you visit Thailand. I am now in karachi and will be in Thailand from April - July. Then I will be teaching in Phnom Phenh Cambodia at a very good International school stating in August.
Keep in touch and out of trouble.

Congratulations on getting a job. I assume it is in the Philippines but where in the Philippines? What subject/grade level will you be teaching?
Yes Deepak Chopra is Indian.
Hopefully we will be married before I go to work in Cambodia. Both myself and Nui are wanting to get married but it's up to her Mom when, (I say when because her Mom has become very positive but hasn't said yes yet). I don't know how it is in the Philippines but Thai people are very conservative. Anyway, Nui and I talk every night between Bangkok and Karachi. We also get along perfectly well and are ready for family life- I've been single way too long.
So how bout you, any prospects, (that doesn't include cute gay guys...sorry)?
Take it easy,
Adam
There goes! Thank you God for the gift of friends! :)
Besos y abrazos,
Ivy
