P-W :)

Yehey! I woke up really early today to attend mass with my brother. He woke me up when I was still in dreamyland. After the homily, the priest gave out red slings or I think I heard him said something like a Sacred Heart of Jesus sculptural or spatular?hehe (not sure what’s the exact word) I insisted my brother that we should go in front to get that red sling but he won’t let me. After the mass, he told me that the red slings were only given to those people who underwent a seminar or something like that. Oookaayyy! Then he asked me what the homily was and for a second, I asked myself “hey you Miss, WHAT WAS THE PRIEST’S HOMILY ALL ABOUT?? I cannot remember a thing. Am I having memory gap? Or is my memory as short as a goldfish…which is 5 seconds!?!

My brother told me I must have fallen asleep because he observed my unsteadiness while inside the church. Oh noes! Next time, I will really try to stay focus. Mass is the highest form of prayer, therefore, I should be ready when talking and worshiping my God.

I remembered that a Muslim speaker in my Peace Education class said that the early morning sounds (chants) we hear at the mosque means… GOD IS GOOD, GOD IS GREAT, COME TO PRAYER, COME TO PRAYER! IT IS BETTER TO PRAY THAN TO SLEEP.

So, whenever I hear their chants I really am not bothered anymore because deep down in my heart, I am also calling and worshiping my God at the same time.

Assalam Mulaikum—Mulaikum Salaam!

Peace be with you – And also with you!
