I had a hard time putting myself to sleep the other night. I was wide awake thinking trifling and finer points in life. Supposedly, I should have been at NBS yesterday to purchase some stuff I need for school and also to buy a-must-feel-good book for myself but I was lazy to go out due to the sweltering heat of the sun. And besides, I want to be very early when I purchase some stuff in the mall and I want to make it very quick. And yeah, I don’t like it crowded especially when I am contemplating which book to buy. Haha!
This morning, I woke up early so that I can move my butt out of my bed and go to the mall and be there the moment it opens. But the chit-chatting session I had with Kuya and Mai (the g.f) was the reason why I arrived almost lunch at NBS. I was a bit disappointed because there were already a lot of people in the book stall/section and most of them were college nursing students noisily chatting with their friends about which book to purchase and the blah blah.
You see, my goal is to buy a-must-feel-good book for myself but since I was kind of distracted I ended up buying a book about thesis writing. Here goes: METHODS OF RESEARCH and THESIS WRITING also known as B-O-R-I-N-G! I scanned through the pages and oh boy, it really reminded me so much of my thesis days way back in college -- sleepless nights, weekends spent in Bugo for in-depth interviews of househusbands, transcribing, editing, revising and petty arguments with my thesis mate. My thesis mate happens to be my best friend (Janess) so I guess, in a way our thesis writing days also tested our friendship. But for the record, we’re quite a good team, Janess and I! :)
But this time, it’s in Grad School so I have to do it alone without Janess to crack up a joke when I am tired and sleepy. Hahay!
And for the “a-must-feel-good-book”, I reckon I have to purchase you next time. Haha!
