Yey! It’s nice to be back in the blogosphere after a week or two of silence. Its either I was so busy those times or just plainly lazy to post something. Finally, I already delivered my report last Saturday re: relationships and I guess it was fine except that I talked too fast and had to catch my breath at the same time. After all the reports, we had our special Princess Dubai diet snack and I just found out that we’ll be having snacks at the end of our class and that would happen every other Saturday. Hrrmmm.. Sounds good to me. I can store as much calories during the weekdays and burn it out every other Saturdays! Kidding!
Yesterday, my sister, papa and I had a marathon movie. Again, we watched Barbie collection and it was funny because Papa lingered longer than my sister. He was able to watch all the episodes from Barbie Swan Lake, The Princess and the Pauper, Barbie Rapunzel to Barbie Fairytopia. Two of my favorites are Swan Lake and Barbie as Rapunzel. I was enthralled with all the magic, the beauty and grace and of course the princesses and princes.
I so so so love Swan Lake and I know there’s a ballet production of it just like the Nutcracker. I wish I will be able to watch Swan Lake ballet with my very own eyes but I haven’t seen ads or plugs about ballet productions in the city. Aha! Maybe I could ask Jerah, (my cousin) perform it for me; she’s a ballet dancer and I figure she knows all about it. Probably she could wear her ballet tutu and ballet flats and perform my favorite part in Swan Lake. This morning I listened to Tchaikovsky Swan Lake (Ballet suite overture solenelle “1812”) and I just love it to death.
It’s equally nice as that of Pachelbel Canon D (whatever is the title) but somebody told me before it’s a theme for a wedding march or something. I remembered Riza asking if I know Pachelbel and that famous wedding march chorale and I said yes and she actually had it played during her wedding. It was so lovely that it brought me quite into tears.
Actually, my sister and I argued about which theme to play on each of our wedding day. It was so funny because when we first heard the Gregorian chant’s Only You we actually got into a petty fight because we both wanted the same song to be played on our wedding day. Actually, she had it first but I insisted that it should be my theme. Just a month ago after we attended Gramp Hugo and Granny Isabel’s Golden wedding anniversary at Grand Caprice I told her I changed my mind about the theme for my wedding day and I said I’d like Moonriver. But boy oh boy, she actually wanted it for herself too and I was infuriated. One boring night, while everybody’s in the living room I played my all time favorite oldie collection which includes Moonriver and then right after the song ended, my brother simply said that it’ll be his theme for his wedding day. Oh noes! Triple jeopardy! But I ended up a loser. They told me why on earth am I being insistent when in fact I don’t even have a boyfriend yet. Then, they all burst into laughter. With my almost cracking voice, I told them JUST FOR FUTURE REFERENCES, IDIOTS!. Hahaha.. oh well, just one of the funny, silly, crazy, petty arguments with my sibs. Nothing fatal, just heaps of fun to pass the day.
Aha!!! Now I could trick my sister on telling her she could have Moonriver for her theme and I know she would love me to death for caving in on her. There would be lotsa hugs and butterflies kisses for me or maybe, maybe uhmm I could suggest to my brother he can have Gregorian Chant’s Only You since its apt for him and the girlfriend and let him listen the track and my sister can have Moonriver and then they would thank me to death. See? Both of them will be happy. I’m using Covey’s 4th habit, THINK WIN-WIN! Haha.
Then, I’ll tell them I found one for myself. And it’s the famous wedding march chorale of Johann Pachecbel, the Canon in D. This time, it will be played on a harp and a piano and when they will hear it they will go gaga over it. Haha. Silly!
I’l write more about Barbies next time. I still have lots of things to do today.
