Before I turn 28....

Years, months, days have flown so fast. Before I know it, I will be turning 28 years old weeks from now. And that got me into thinking awhile ago after my friend Janess and I exchanged text messages that we were no longer the two young college girls giggling over our crushes and talking about grand, crazy and wild free imaginations. In some ways, I felt sad that I have not taken my time in exploring the world.

Before I turn 28, I would like to look back on what I have been through with life. It was not a smooth sailing adventure at all. I slipped, got hurt and had moved forward with a happy heart. I have been to a string of failed relationships and those hurtful experiences have made me tough and strong. I am not easily shaken now and I learn to set aside something for myself and not to rely on someone.

As for my career, I am blessed to have a job that pays me fairly well. I d like to believe that I have the most happy, stress-free kind of job.  I mean dealing with children who throw fits and tantrums and parents who complain most of the time is stressful but not that much compared to those who are in the corporate world or to those who handles financial statements and accounts.

Being a preschool teacher makes me feel young.  Listening to young children sharing ordinary and mundane day to day details of their lives makes me smile and looking at them trying to keep up with the rest of the group makes me think how nice it is to be young and free. Life for them is like a box of crayons, they get to pick whatever color they like and paint the world with happy thoughts and imaginings. Such a wonderful world of pixie dust, wishing wells and magic spells!

Last year, I finished my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. I would like to thank my family for the love and support. Through the years, they have been my refuge and my anchor when there is a need to stay and keep still. Now, I am on a new journey that will lead to better opportunities later on in life. I set to finish it before I turn 30.

In the school where I work, I always share my experiences with the newbies in the field.  I encourage them to enjoy every single moment of their lives and to always take their time in exploring the world, to broaden their horizons and to think of fallback plans and options.

Before I turn 28, I would like to thank God for he has tremendously blessed me with so many things in life. I am thankful for the challenges for they made me a better and stronger person.

God isn't finished with me yet.  I believe that he carefully laid out his plans for me. :)

Sunny Sunday!

Hello again!  It’s a lazy Sunday and early this morning Clyde and I went out for a much needed jog. We saw a group of people dancing near the bleachers  so I decided to tag Clyde along with me to dance. It was really cool because I was sweating off relatively fast than the usual jog-brisk-walk kind of routine I do when we have the chance to go there.

Right after that, Clyde dropped me off in RER since he still has to meet up with his XUHS batch mates for their Bball practice. For breakfast, I decided not to eat rice so I just drank cold milk and bread. I decided to really be serious in losing extra super unwanted fats because I feel heavy and my pants will no longer fit and I don’t want to buy new jeans just because the old ones will not fit me anymore. I should trim down or else I will be suffering from wearing tight pants. Hahahaha! So here it is, my goal is to go back to 100 pounds. It will really require discipline, hardwork, patience and yes, healthy diet to boot.

My sister recommends me to do Zumba but I am not really familiar with it. Instead I will do the belly dancing since my co-teacher will lend me her dvd copy. Sounds fun and exciting!

I am quite excited for summer. I am not sure if I will be taking summer classes in XU. And yes, I am looking forward for that extra income I will be getting if I’ll join. Money doesn’t come that easy so I need to work hard to meet my daily needs.

After lunch, I will be going to the mall to buy a dress for my friend’s wedding next weekend. Dress or whatever I’ll find there. Then meet up with Clyde again to visit and light candles in Carmelites. At 7pm, we will go to XU gym since Clyde will be playing.  I hope we can get a full body massage right after. I just love getting massages!

Have a blessed and sunny Sunday to all!
